Full Bio

Casey Stein is a D.C.-born, New York-educated, and Brooklyn-based director, writer, and creative director. As a director, his client list includes Nike, IBM, American Express, The New York Times, Verizon, WeWork, Pepsi, Garnier, Watches Of Switzerland, Marriott, The Wall Street Journal, New York Theatre Workshop, Soho Rep, David Bowie, Joe Biden, Universal Music, Sony Music, Warner Music, Interscope Records, and many more.

As a kid, Casey spent his time in and around local theater productions and exploring D.C. on his BMX. Then, he moved to New York to attend NYU’s Tisch School of The Arts to pursue a degree in Film and Television. After graduating, he made a name for himself shooting documentaries and branded content, as well as exploring new technologies.

Casey has spent nearly a decade writing, testing, and perfecting interactive stories through his studio, LWT Interactive, which he runs with his co-writer Ben Zeiger. His first two interactive films, Holy Night and OTIS, have been featured at festivals around the world, including the Tribeca Film Festival and the New York Film Festival. He has an active slate of projects across video games, film, and television.

Casey’s happiest place is making projects that don’t fit into a box and pushing boundaries. He loves a good challenge, strong teamwork, and a healthy dose of laughter. He lives with his wife Hannah in the shadow of Prospect Park. Outside of work, he's a passionate cyclist (mountain bikes and road bikes), avid traveler, and dedicated volunteer for a number of nonprofits across the tri-state area.
