I spent four months on the road with the Harris–Walz campaign as a director/producer responsible for live-streaming every appearance by Vice President Harris and Governor Walz. The campaign traded the traditional ENG news model for a full cinematic production approach, bringing in film, TV, and advertising professionals like myself.
I oversaw 23 rallies in 23 cities, where we fully rehearsed, lit, and captured ultra–high-quality cinema-level footage while simultaneously broadcasting every event across the campaign’s and VP’s social platforms (IG, X, Meta, TikTok, Twitch). We also used all of this footage in national paid media.
Our on-site team collaborated with a remote control room to deliver a seamless broadcast feed, part of a massive, nationwide production effort. This culminated in the four-hour Vote for Freedom Rallies special, hosted by DJ Cassidy and featuring performances by artists including Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, will.i.am, Ricky Martin, Oprah Winfrey, and many more.
It was a rare blend of creative filmmaking and high-pressure live broadcast - equally challenging and deeply rewarding -, and I’m proud of the scale, precision, and storytelling we delivered.
